Favorite Summer Smell...

This week I promised a lighter question and with the warmer weather out, I decided to give it a summer theme! Walking outside, I am greeted by so many summer "smells," a BBQ in full swing, trees blooming, the smell of my neighbor's lilacs that maybe I trim just a little (only the ones that hang in our yard...aren't they technically ours?)

So here's my question? What is your favorite summer smell? What reminds you most of the season of relaxation and sunshine?

Is it the smell of sunscreen? Fresh blacktop?

Mines a little weird...I love the smell of lawn fertilizer! Something about that smell just reminds me of the season; maybe all the Chem Lawn applications my parents had put down annually...certainly not very green, I'm sure! But nonetheless...

Let me know what yours is!

Love,

Laura

Lawn fertilizer? Really? Of ALL the smells? I'm a little undecided because there are so many...but I'm going to have to choose the good 'ol barbeque. I love me some BBQ chicken and grilled corn on the cob or maybe steak...or kabobs...or pork loin...or ribs...Mmmmmm

My favorite smell is skunk. It reminds me of when I was a kid...brings back the lazy summer nights that I still love so much!

I love the smell of suntan lotion. It probably means I am getting some pool time, or better yet laying next to the pool on a cloudless, 85 degree day with a tall glass of ice water.

That's so cool that you have a blog!

Some of the smells I enjoy most about summer is of course the smell of steaks or burgers on the grill! You also know it's summer when you drive home with the windows open and smell all the fresh cut lawns.

ooo. It's a tie...between burgers on the grill and skunk. Both bring fond memories and are a sure sign of the far-too-short summer we have in Michigan.
